So if I want to record with the tones applied I must select either option 2 or option 3. Tone 1 dry / Tone 2 dry This is the Dry (IE unprocessed signal) from my X3l Tone 2 L / Tone 2 R This is the wet signal for my tone 2 Tone 1 L / Tone 1 R This is the wet signal for my tone 1 Mix L / Mix R This is my onboard sound card When I click on the arm button in a mixcraft track I get the following: The number of inputs you have might be different (as the X3l has dual tone capabilities and therefore has more channels) but you should make sure you have tried all of the different channels possible. On the X3l the first 6 input chanels are the "wet" channels (IE they record with all of the processing applied) and the last 2 channels are the "dry" channels (IE just the guitar signal - none of the processing applied). It sounds like you are recording the "dry" signal rather than the "wet" signal. I dont use a UX2 but I do use an X3l from line 6 so this may not be the correct answer. Thanks for all the help! hopefully we can figure this BS out.
LINE 6 POD FARM SOFTWARE
Im starting to wonder if it is not a problem or something that I am missing in the podfarm software itself. In preferences I under "sound device" I have ASIO selected with U2X in the drop-down menu. I try to record and all I get is clean clear tones during the play-back like its totally bypassing the podfarm software all together.Ħ. I start up podfarm saoftware and have it running at the same time I have Mixcraft runningĥ. I have my desktop speakers plugged directly into the U2X head phone jackĤ. I have my guitar plugged straight into the "Instrument Input Normal" jack on the U2Xģ. I have the U2X Interface plugged into my computer via USB cable.Ģ. I think I have my pyhsically set up the same way you do, but Ill give ya a walk through just to make sure I havent done anything wrong.ġ. I also tried selecting ASIO and making sure that "ASIO U2X" was selected under the "ASIO Input" drop-down menu. Im not sure what you mean by run podfarm seperately rather than a VST plugin. I dont know what I could be missing.ĭear Jayzzb, Thanks for you help and concern with my issue but your solution is not working for me for some reason. Also in preferences, under "Sound Device" I have "digital audio interface" selected as the default input.
I know that the arrow button next to the "arm" button must be set properly and it is, I have it set to the "Digital Audio Interface" selection. The problem is that when I am playing and Mixcraft is recording, it sounds great, I can hear my distortions and everything, but Mixcraft wont recognize Podfarm for some reason, and when I go to play back the recording I just hear a clean clear tone, and not the distorted tone that I should hear if it were recording the tones from podfarm. I have my guitar pluged straight into the Line6 UX2 Interface, and then it should run throught the Podfarm software so I can get my different tones and distortions I have set up, then into mixcraft where the recording takes place. So I want to use My Line6 Podfarm software as a plugin for Mixcraft. Im sure there is already a thread about this, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere.
